There has been so much that is is almost too difficult to know where to start. Catching you up on what’s been happening may make this blog a long one. I appreciated my viewers, and I thank you for reading all my exciting news.

Firstly: I now have a new website, which I hope will be easier for my readers and subscribers to navigate, and make it easier to reach many more people.

Secondly: And of great importance to me. My second memoir has been available for a while. In August I had a wonderful launch party in my garden, to which many friends and neighbors came. A great big thank you to all of them.

Thirdly: After the last of the summer teas the real excitement began. My six teas raised over $2,500 for the local organization, Bellingham At Home, a volunteer-driven group that helps keep the elderly in their homes. At the beginning of September,
I received a Five-Star Review from Reader Views on a nine-point evaluation on Clarity, Relevance, Insight, Structure, Credibility, Reader Connection, Style, Editing, and the Cover. I was thrilled that my hard work to achieve all those points was recognized and validated. Below are two reviews.

Reviews of Untethered- A Memoir from Reader Views by Ada Jenkins

Untethered: A Memoir, by Elizabeth Jane Pryce, touches upon some harrowing subjects, some of which include physical, sexual, and emotional abuse. This is undoubtedly a memoir of personal triumph against the odds. The author never gives up on her quest for independence and self-actualization, managing to escape an abusive marriage, complete her English degree, and reclaim her independence.

Historically relevant details enable this memoir to be firmly rooted in time and place, enhancing the overall authenticity of the narrative.

Women’s issues are at the forefront of this story. Subjects such as postnatal depression, marital breakdown, and dysfunctional mother/daughter relationships are explored with unflinching honesty. How to deal with the rage that arises in the aftermath of abuse is a difficult question to answer, with Pryce admitting that “sudden, intense emotions can erupt, leaving us overwhelmed and out of control.”

Elizabeth Jane Pryce’s Untethered, a Memoir is unafraid to delve into the long-lasting impact of intergenerational trauma, emphasizing the importance of being free from the harmful influence of others, while also acknowledging that the road to freedom is anything but easy. Fans of memoirs and women-centered books are in for a treat with this one!

Fourthly: I took a week’s vacation to my cousin’s newly built house on Lake Winnebago, Wisconsin. It was wonderfully restful.
I could look at their garden and not get the crazy urge to work in it! I sat and watched the birds, especially the pelicans on the lake.

More Events: Once home I had more events to prepare for. I did a talk at two senior living center in Bellingham and then I did a big afternoon event at our local Barnes & Noble stores. It was wonderful. It was exhausting, and I sold a lot of books. THEN I had an even more exciting news; I had the honor to be shortlisted for the Chanticleer Non-fiction book cover award. One week later I was on a plane to England, where I can no longer navigate the trains or the roads without help. But I attended 30,295 performance of Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap. A murder mystery show in its 73 year!
